Grants Management

Kearney’s grant practice provides the business strategy and program audit capabilities to improve performance through advisory services, grants management, performance monitoring and assessment, financial reporting and performance audits, and customized training and technical assistance.

Kearney’s grants management approach involves utilizing best practices in comprehensive grants management in compliance with administrative compliance with statutes and regulations. We have established a single comprehensive grants management framework for the administration of grant awards, and we have performed multi-year grant award planning. We assess Pre-Award activities for compliance with the Code of Federal Regulations 2 (CFR) 200 – Section 205 to implement adequate systems and internal controls and to provide training and tools for Grant staff to use in assessing applicants. Kearney will also optimize and automate Application Review Process for compliance with 2 (CFR) 200 – Appendix 1, reviewing and documenting applications for technical suitable content, budget, and indirect cost, as well as assisting review panels. We maintain effective records management, compliance with terms and conditions, and timely closeout policies and procedures.

Our performance monitoring and assessment procedures involve ensuring ongoing management of Federal funds and program objectives. We provide clear written policies, procedures, and systems guidance for all grantees, as required by Uniform Administrative Requirements, Cost Principles, and Audits Requirements for Federal Awards, 2 CFR 200. We also implement the tools of Post-Award Grants Management, including single audits for effective monitoring and audits resolution, as well as cost-saving, risk-based monitoring techniques and effective desk audits and fieldwork.
