Alexandria, Va. – July 12, 2023 – Kearney & Company, a premier audit, consulting and technology firm focused on the government, has been named a George Mason University Demonstrated Employer Equity & Inclusion In-Practice (D.E.E.P.) Employer for the 2023-2024 academic year. The designation “recognizes worthy employers for their [diversity, equity and inclusion] initiatives from among the thousands that recruit at Mason. Employers with the [D.E.E.P.] designation go ‘deep’ on DEI,” according to the university.

In its selections for the D.E.E.P. Program, George Mason University Career Services considered criteria including partnership with George Mason departments or diversity-based student organizations, the inclusive benefits the organization provides, social justice benefits the organization provides, the diversity of the management team/senior leadership/C-level staff in the organization, the organization’s specific hiring initiatives for marginalized/underrepresented groups, and the organization’s philanthropic support for social justice initiatives and identity-based charities.
