Alexandria, VA – February 2, 2021 – Mattie Miracle Cancer Foundation is pleased to announce a charitable contribution of $10,000 from Kearney & Company to help fund the Foundation’s programs and initiatives. Kearney, the premier CPA firm exclusively focused on the federal government, has been supporting Mattie Miracle since 2015.

Mattie Miracle is dedicated to increasing childhood cancer awareness, education, advocacy, research and psychosocial support services to children, their families, and medical personnel. They work to ensure that children fighting cancer and their families have a psychosocial voice and that these needs are addressed.

“Our corporate sponsors make the Mattie Miracles possible and we are deeply grateful for Kearney & Company’s steadfast support, generosity, and for standing behind our psychosocial mission,” said Victoria Sardi-Brown, Mattie Miracle’s President. “We are honored to partner with a company that has such a big heart and is committed to making a difference in the lives of children with cancer.”

Kearney usually hosts a poker tournament in December benefitting Mattie Miracle. Since the COVID-19 pandemic made hosting the tournament unsafe, Kearney held a successful virtual trivia night instead. Mattie Miracle leadership made a special appearance to talk to Kearney team members about the work that their support enables the Foundation to do. Kearney leadership also announced a surprise increase in the original donation.

“Community service has been a vital part of Kearney’s culture since it was founded 35 years ago,” said Kearney’s Chief Operating Officer Brian Kearney. “We’re proud to be able to continue our support of the important work that the Mattie Miracle Cancer Foundation does and make a positive impact on our community during a challenging time for everyone.”
