Kearney & Company Achieves CMMC Level 2 Certification

ALEXANDRIA, Va. – May 7, 2025 – Kearney & Company, a premier audit, consulting, and technology firm focused on the government, recently achieved Cybersecurity Maturity Model Certification (CMMC) Level 2 certification. In an effort to help protect sensitive unclassified information, CMMC is a Department of Defense (DoD) program that ensures defense contractors meet existing information security requirements. Following an assessment by a third party, Kearney received its official CMMC Level 2 certification, which is valid for three years.

The firm has a long track record of successfully supporting a broad range of requirements across the DoD, including financial statement audits and various financial management services. As one of the first contractors to achieve CMMC certification, Kearney is well-positioned to continue supporting government agencies who are poised to adopt the DoD’s cybersecurity protocols.

To attain CMMC Level 2 certification, the firm demonstrated adherence to stringent security controls and procedures, enabling Kearney to safeguard Controlled Unclassified Information (CUI) throughout the Defense Industrial Base (DIB) supply chain.

“Achieving CMMC certification is a testament to our firm’s unwavering dedication to maintaining the highest cybersecurity standards and protecting sensitive government information,” said Brian Kearney, Chief Executive Officer. “Moreover, it reaffirms Kearney’s commitment to continuously improving its security posture, bolstering resilience against emerging cyber threats, and delivering trusted solutions to clients.”
