Air Force DEAMS – Kearney & Company was awarded a contract to provide Air Force Functional Project Management and Support Services for the Defense Enterprise Accounting and Management System (DEAMS). Kearney’s role encompasses all financial project management services including:

• Contract administration
• Acquisition documentation
• Blueprinting and configuration support
• System testing
• User training
• Overall financial management subject matter expertise (SME).

The DEAMS initiative includes full lifecycle responsibilities for financial business process reengineering (BPR), to include the identification of financial business process improvements and their associated business case analyses to support change, planning, and implementing BPR initiatives. The DEAMS effort also employs Commercial-off-the-Shelf (COTS) Oracle Federal Financial software with Kearney SME developed business process flows. The resulting DEAMS will be based on a robust operational architecture enabled through a technical and systems architecture.

In conjunction with the Logistics community, Kearney is providing SME support to the Expeditionary Combat Support System (ECSS) initiative. With Kearney’s support, ECSS is being configured to fully integrate with DEAMS. This effort postures DEAMS to ultimately serve as the single financial management component in the Air Force Enterprise Resource Planning end-state.
